Nurtured from tiny acorns that were planted to celebrate new life into their family, the Beaumont’s of Woolstone, Milton Keynes, now have a magnificent 9 year old Oak tree, but at 12 ft tall the family are starting to have trouble housing the magnificent specimen.

Planted in 1998 by grandfather, Harry Voss, the oak tree is a lasting memory for his grandchildren, Matthew, Harriet and Rowena and the families’ future generations, but it has recently become so big the family are struggling to find adequate space for it.

“Sadly, few gardens in Milton Keynes would accommodate a fully grown oak tree in 100 years and ours is no exception!”

Says mum Wendy, who was at a quandary as to what to do with her growing oak.

That was until a visit to the new theme park Eco-Park one weekend

“It was while walking around Eco-Park that the children agreed it would be the perfect place for their magnificent tree to be planted”

So the family contacted Eco-Park who were touched by the story and delighted to accept the donation.

Anne Basketfield, projects team coordinator said:

“At Eco-Park we are currently working on our new section ‘energy’ due to open next year and in this section we have the story of trees, a perfect place for this beautiful oak. A tree with a heart warming story ”

The family received a complimentary visit to Eco-Park and their tree will have a plaque by it telling it’s story so it’s now not just a lasting memory for the families future generations but for everybody’s.

The tree is planted and they are all hoping it will grow as bog as the Oak tree behind!
